The agricultural sector in Mozambique is faced with output price and production-related risks such as drought, epidemics, and floods. An enhanced access and availability of information on these risk areas is crucial for improving policies and strategies related to agricultural livelihoods. As part of efforts to assist stakeholders in integrating risk management knowledge into relevant strategic agenda, IFAD/PARM developed 8-series policy brief on IS-ARM.
This policy brief presents key highlights for the context of Mozambique. It indicates that information from national systems allows for a comprehensive analysis of market and price related risks. In addition, there are high prospects for enhanced access to information and a better environment for dissemination.
