Cabo Verde – Information Systems for Agricultural Risk Management

Information is key in every agricultural risk management related activity as it is required to facilitate farmers’ production and marketing decisions and to manage the corresponding risks. As part of efforts to assist stakeholders in integrating relevant risk management strategies into policy agenda, IFAD/PARM developed 8-series policy brief on IS-ARM. This policy brief presents key highlights for the context of Cabo Verde.

It indicates that Cabo Verde’s national systems provide complete and integrative information useful for analysing risks on commodity market price and inputs availability. Besides, there is a well-laid environment for the information dissemination.
