Since the year 2011, the Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), has actively engaged in the PARM process as part of its effort to mainstream ARM into the National Agricultural Investment Plan and other related policy frameworks.
This report is a documentation of the main outcomes from the PARM process in Uganda, starting from the prioritization of risks, assessment of the right tools and development of capacities to the identification of specific tools for investment. The report also presents the proposals for investment into three key ARM tools – Plant health control, Information systems and Capacity building for extension services – identified during the joint process.
