PARM seeks to ensure that knowledge on ARM reaches farmers for effective management of agricultural risks of all forms. It organized a regional knowledge sharing event in Lusaka, Zambia on the 12th December 2018 to understand the existing state of knowledge delivery approaches at the farm level and the potential for improved learning practices on agricultural risk capacity development (CD).
The event brought together 40 participants from across the Eastern Africa region for a panel discussion, showcase activity, group work and prioritization exercise where key factors for successful CD at the farm level were identified. It also unleashed an avenue to showcase different CD approaches and to understand the specific roles of stakeholder groups in contributing to effective knowledge uptake on agricultural risk and risk management at the farm level.
