This feasibility study investigates access to information system for agricultural risk management and proposes recommendations and action plan for investment. The study reveals that information is available in institutional databases like the CSA, CSE and ANACIM. In addition, the ICT sector provides web platforms, GIS, Remote Sensing, mobile applications, SMS and call services that collect and process data, deliver and store information for farmers and various stakeholders.
However, investments in information systems lack synergy between the various actors and difficulties of coordination. PARM knowledge hub is a major step to foster coordination and synergy among stakeholders. Agencies, such as CSE and ANACIM, are also involved in local information-use schemes that foster good practices to attract investment.
