As part of the broader objective to create, strengthen and share knowledge among stakeholders and raise awareness on ARM, PARM identified information systems as one of the main limiting factors to assessing and managing agricultural risks in several Sub-Saharan African countries.
On 31st January 2017, PARM organized a knowledge sharing event that brought together over 60 practitioners and experts to share experiences on information systems for ARM. The main objective of the workshop was to lead a collaborative dialogue and knowledge sharing among the different thematic experts and stakeholders. The workshop was also recognized as a great opportunity to facilitate the collection of recommendations on how to promote accessible and harmonized information systems to enhance investments in agriculture.
