CONSULTANT PROFILE 1

POLICY LESSONS FOR GRAIN WAREHOUSING AND COLLATERAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA

The first mission is to develop policy lessons for Grain Warehousing and Collateral Management Systems in Sub-Saharan Africa, drawing from a report commissioned by PARM/IFAD. The consultant will develop clear, concrete and engaging policy briefs on the nine countries covered by the report, as well as a general policy brief on the lessons learned from experience with Warehouse Receipt Systems in Sub-Saharan Africa.

CONSULTANT PROFILE 2

AGRICULTURAL RISK COUNTRY PROFILES

The second mission is to develop agricultural risk profiles for the countries PARM works in. These profiles will follow an holistic approach, covering weather and climate risks, biological risks, infrastructural and input risks, price risks, and political and global risks. The consultant will develop a set of objective indicators for all countries, find and synthetize the information available to produce profiles that are both technically sound and easy to understand for the general public. She/he will also produce a guide for the quick updating of these agricultural risk profiles.
