As you know, the Platform for Agricultural Risk Management (PARM) is engaged to facilitate the identification of agricultural risk management tools that should be prioritized in developing countries, by developing risk assessment and feasibility studies, through a consultation process with the government and stakeholders.

COMING UP

Capacity Development Training in Uganda

A Capacity Development Training is planned in October 2015 at district level in Uganda as a follow-up of the Capacity Development Seminar that took place in July 2015. The main objectives of the training is to provide trainees with critical capacity to understand the meaning of holistic approach to analyze and manage the main agriculture risks affecting smallholders.

Where We Work

PARM's main selection criteria are based on: Commitment of the government to Agricultural Risk Management (ARM) and the status of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) implementation Diversity in agro-climatic zones, language blocks, and socio-economic standing. The current selected countries are: Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Liberia, Mozambique, Niger, Senegal, The Gambia and Uganda.
